With temperatures rising we don’t want to spend too long in the kitchen, quick light meals are the answer. Why not do your own stir fry? Use the lovely vegetables from the garden or buy a pack of stir fry veg. Cut your meat or chicken into strips, fry in a small amount of oil (sesame seed oil adds a good flavour) add grated fresh ginger, chilli, garlic and your favourite sauce. Hoisin works well with a dash of soy sauce. Add your veg and either boiled rice or noodles to finish.
Serve with spring rolls, prawn toast, crispy wontons and prawn crackers for an authentic Chinese. Try it with a glass of chilled white wine.
